As your “local real estate industry and market conditions expert”, I have spent decades gaining expertise and experience in real estate, so opening my own real estate brokerage became the most logical progression for me and my business. 

My love of real estate began in my early teens. I spent countless hours pouring over real estate magazines and home floor plan books before the advent of the internet.  It seemed I was hard-wired to love real estate. 

In 1990, my fiancé and I proudly purchased our first home.  There were many more real estate purchases to follow in the coming years! From personal experience I can state with 100% conviction that there is absolutely nothing like having a place to call home that is also your very own!

After some time had passed, we purchased our second home and this time, it was our future home here in central Florida.  Prior to us moving south, we used our Florida home as an investment property and really began to see the value of owning real estate to help grow wealth and passive income over time.  Not long after our daughter was born, we finally moved south and turned our Florida rental house into our own personal residence for the next several years.

It wasn’t long before we got the itch to buy another house and found one that needed a considerable amount of work but was a great price and in a nice neighborhood…it was perfect!  We moved again and began the process of renovating and improving our new home to suit our taste. It’s still shocking today at how much nicer our home was after we got our hands on it than it was before.

The realization of how we could intentionally and quickly build sweat-equity eventually led us into a full-blown house-flipping business which spanned five years’ time.  Because of the nature of the flipping business, I got my real estate license so we could sell our flips on the Multiple Listing Service with full market exposure to buyers, and also earn a commission every time we purchased a new flip house as well. 

Additionally, I earned my designation as a certified home-stager which helped us secure the highest resale price for our flips since we fully staged all our homes before putting them on the market.  We were consistently getting appraised values (for price per square foot) at close to brand-new construction due to the renovations and staging we did, which was quite an accomplishment for older homes! 

At that time and for years afterward, I didn’t intend to use my real estate license for any other reason than our flipping business.  It’s funny how things shifted and I began representing friends and family in their real estate transactions. 

Each passing year I helped more people accomplish their real estate goals and I realized that I was enjoying being a real estate agent and was well, particularly good at it too. 

Fast forward to today and now I am the broker-owner of my own real estate brokerage. Here at Beach-It Coastal Realty, our mission and number one priority is to provide the HIGHEST level of customer service, satisfaction, support and knowledge in our industry to EVERY client we work with.
